About the Event​

The Department of History at Bilkent University invites graduate students to the 2024 Bilkent History Graduate Symposium which will take place on Thursday and Friday, 9th and 10th May, 2024. We welcome proposals from all fields of history for the Symposium.

Those who would like to participate in the Symposium could send a 250-word abstract and updated CV by Friday, 15 March, 2024. All proposals will be reviewed by the symposium committee and the accepted abstracts will be announced by 15 April 2024.

We welcome diverse, innovative, original, and creative approaches to American, Byzantine, European, Ottoman and Global History, with no chronological limits. We particularly encourage an interdisciplinary approach to the topics in question.
